Florence Bay is very popular with the locals,
and considered to be one of the most beautiful. There is coral on
the left-hand side of the picture along the rocks and it is clearly visible on the right-hand side of the bay.
There is also a coral bomey in the centre of the bay.
The only inhabitants of this lovely, sheltered and shady beach are the wildlife. The Bay is also part of the National and Marine Parks and a favourite anchorage for "yachties" who sail over from Townsville or from further afield.
